In Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age, the most powerful Luminary the main character can acquire that can help him banish the dark one is the Supreme Sword of Light.
At some parts in the game where the Luminary has acquired and forged with the Sword of Light, it’s not really the most powerful one. Those who decide to do the end-game story and have the courage to defeat the true end boss, you will be needing the Supreme Sword of Light to do the task.
To start off, the Supreme Sword of Light will have to be crafted, therefore you will be needing the recipe called, Supreme Secrets of the Sword of Light. You can find this recipe in Drustand’s Labyrinth – Vault – Morcant’s Chamber. You will be needing to pass his trial for the first time to get the recipe.
Dragon Quest XI – Supreme Sword of Light Recipe Materials
Once you acquire the recipe, here’s to find the materials.
Dragon Quest XI Supreme Sword of Light
The materials required are the following:
– Sword of Light (Yes, you will need another one)
– Sword of Kings
– Crimsonite
– Uber Agate of Evolution
– Spectralite
Getting a second Sword of Light
Remember the first time you crafted the Sword of Light in the Crucible? Apparently, in the end-game story, you will have an opportunity to craft another Sword of Light by gathering the same material once again and going to the Crucible to craft. However, the method of gathering the materials is somewhat different now.
– The Forging Hammer that you need to forge another Sword of Light can be found as a reward prize in the Silver Horse racing in Gallopolis City. Win it to get the Forging Hammer.
– Orichalcum is the other requirement to craft the Sword of Light. Remember The Battleground? Go there again and gather an Orichalcum.
– In the end-game story, the crucible is closed once again and you will need a key. To get the key to the crucible, you will need to clear the story event in Hotto where you have to help Mika solve her problems.
Getting Crimsonite
Dragon Quest XI – Serpent Souls
The Crimsonite can be acquired from Krystalinda in Sniflheim if you exchange a Serpent Soul to her. Read our guide on how to farm Serpent Soul.
Sword of Kings
Once you are able to go to Hotto once again in post-game, approach a man in front of a tool shop. He will tell you about how he can craft the Sword of Kings. To have him craft for you, an Orichalcum is needed. Now, go to the Battleground and fetch another Orichalcum or if you have already been doing the Dustran Trial’s it can be farmed in the first trial.
Give him the Orichalcum and he will tell you to come back in a few days. Now go do other quests and when time have passed, you can get the Sword of Kings through the Tool Shop.
Other Materials
The Uber Agate of Evolution and Spectralite – you should have those two by now.

Go to the right and defeat one of this guys an get on the ride:
Then on the left of the door you will see this guys.
There is some more if you continue through the electrified floor.
Farming Method
Kingsbarrow Act 3
First of all I would recomend getting as much items that boos drop rate as possible, and equip the hero with Wings of Serendepy to boost rare monster encounters.
With that just fight them and hope they drop a Pep Pip or Pep Pop.
This method can be kind of slow if you are unlucky, but Using the Hallelujah will grant a rare drop.
Another method can be used to fasten Pep Pip drops, but you won’t be getting any Pep Pops with it.
That would be using a Pep Pop when you get an encounter with a Fortune Filcher use a Pep Pop followed by the Hallelujah to ensure the normal monster drops a Pep Pip and you get another Pep Pop to use this method again.
Alternative Locations
You can buy Pep Pops from Cobblestone after you done the quest to restore the town for 200000 gold and get Pep Pips from the casino in Octagonia.
